torpillage

Artwork

let there be art! all artwork herein is a creation of taylor. please note, these paintings are intentionally stylized. different brain structures are magnified or minimized or made to be circular, etc. the purpose of these creations was for personal learning/memorization process, and these are NOT meant to be realistic anatomic representations.

for example, the nucleus accumbens is not circular, but is represented as such to emphasize that it was located at the intersection of the caudate and putamen. the artist does realize the scale is wrong and that the olfactory bulb comes out into your nose and not your forehead, and so on.

these next two with the black backgrounds are representations of major neurotransmitter tracts within the brain. red is dopamine, yellow is serotonin, and blue is norepinephrine.

representation of the arterial flow to various brain areas. this piece is fairly large, it covers not one but two sheets of posterboard stacked vertically.
