so, you might be wondering, what on earth is torpillage anyway? i must give credit to the the superior person's second book of weird and wonderous words by peter bowler because that is where i first came across it.

simply put, it is electroshock therapy. the actual medical term is "electroconvulsive therapy" or ECT for short.
